Several dozen local Buckeyes turned out for the annual Spring Banquet on Monday, June 15th. Ohio State Women's basketball coach Jim Foster was the guest speaker and provided a very entertaining and informative insight into his team and candid thoughts on a variety of other topics
Jon Brown was honored as the 2009 KCBucks Scholarship recipient. Jon will be pre-med majoring in English Literature & Spanish. Scholarship finalists Beryl Zhou and Brittney Bronaugh, were also in attendance.

In late
2007,
the
Presidents
Club
re-defined
their
organization
to
recognize
individual’s
giving
in
support
of
academics,
health
sciences,
and the
arts.
These
changes
require
the Ohio
State
Alumni
Club of
Greater
Kansas
City, to
alter
its
Presidents
Club
donations
to
maintain
the
benefits
we offer
both
future
students
and
current
members.
In order
for our
club to
continue
building
our
scholarship
fund
towards
an
endowment
and to
receive
Season
Football
tickets,
our club
signed a
Gift
Agreement
to
become a
Legacy
Lifetime
member
of the
Presidents
Club.
This
Gift
Agreement
was
approved
by the
Board
and
requires
the Ohio
State
Alumni
Club of
Greater
Kansas
City to
commit
$26,571,
payable
in 5
annual
payments
of
$5,266,
to
complete
the club
endowment
and
secure
scholarships
for both
future
KC Bucks
and
season
tickets
for
membership
raffles.
By
committing
to the
Presidents
Club,
our club
receives
the
following:
- Lifetime Recognition in the Presidents Club
- Payments designated to The Greater Kansas City Alumni Scholarship Fund
- The opportunity to purchase Season Football Tickets
As a
Club,
we
would
like
to
satisfy
this
obligation
as
early
as
possible.
100%
of
the
football
raffle
ticket
sales
support
the
scholarship
fund
and
our
effort
to
reach
this
goal
prior
to
2013.
As
we
prepare
for
the
2008
football
season,
please
consider
an
additional
scholarship
gift
as
part
of
membership
renewal
and
purchase
football
raffle
tickets
early
and
often
at
watch
parties
throughout
the
football
season.
